Any runners or triathletes use a Garmin watch?

If so what features do you find help you change or improve?

Mainly pace and cadence.

I imagine if I had a heart rate monitor I'd like to see my stress score and recovery times. Sometimes I feel like I'm killing myself and I'm really not but I'd like a post recovery analysis to shame myself.

I mainly go off pace and effort.

I did one training plan that was HR based. Yielded great results.

I'm a fan of cadence and heart rate. Heart rate really changes the way I train.

I agree. Most don't want to hear it bc that typically means to run a slower pace or a very uncomfortable pace.

A friend that I turned on to garmin that turned me back to garmin after a failed attempt at the Microsoft band has an extra HR chest band he's offered to me. I need to take him up on it just to see.

Right now I'm not doing much long distance but that will change in the fall and I feel I could get a better gauge with some heart metrics.

I use HR zones, cadence, and pace mostly. But I do like to look at all the metrics just to see if one is throwing the other off.
