Will be in town for a conference mid September and looking for a recommendation to take a group of maybe 30 to 50 people, still working to confirm the number. Will be at the Marriott and Sheraton on Canal so we're looking for something in that area that has a room large enough for a group that size. I know our options will probably be limited so we're pretty open on food choice. One suggestion I was given was Tomas Bistro in the Warehouse District which we'll call on Monday.
Thanks for any help!

There are a number of places that can handle a group of that size without blinking.

For a sit-down event places like Arnaud's, the Palace Cafe and Muriel's have spaces that can easily accommodate.

If buffet style works (or if you are looking for a less expensive option) you can add in spots like upstairs at Napoleon House and Mother's Next Door.

How baller do want? You could rent the whole upstairs at Delmonico, though it'd be in tables of 6 or 8. See if they'll do two course meal (charcuterie and steak, though some tables could do fish for the second. Doubt they'd let you break up the table between fish and steak since they bring so many sides) with dessert, the three course (fish and steak courses) was too damn much food. Their courses are complete meals.

The Bourbon House is a stone's throw away and they do a good job with things like that. They have nice rooms upstairs that hold about 60 people. I go to luncheons there on a regular basis.

Appreciate all the suggestions, I'll look into each of them.

Thanks!

Balise has a private space upstairs that is stunning.
