Is Gibbs as hitting coach the equivalent to Mal-Veto disaster?

I know the hitting coach can't be blamed for some things but it's not widely popular to make GA's hitting coaches across the country. I have a feeling this move by Paul will go down as a failure like Les' after Bo Pelini left.

Gibbs probably still has a promising future in his profession, just took young for this stage.

Peevs is vintage good ole baw who makes a few phone calls and lands an overpaid job for that rib rub.

they're really not comparable, but that doesn't mean I think Gibbs should keep his job

It's the equivalent to Les's BBQ crew.

I'm all in for a new HC a new pitching coach & a new hitting coach. LSU baseball has turned into going to the dentist for a pull with no anesthesia.

The hitting is better than the pitching. Not even debatable. Look at the stats.

Why are we blaming hitting when the pitching gives up 3 runs in the 9th?

Micah brings that Austin area rib rub

Seriously he has a bright future in coaching. He's just not ready for this job yet

i said this in another thread, burke broke down several ab's sat and sun. he had really good things to say about the tigers approach. plus, the team is in the top half of the conference in pretty much every offense category. it's just the risp that's a problem, for whatever reason.

LSU didn't win it all in the previous year before replacing a key part of the staff, so it's not really a comparison.

Of the five assistant's on PM's staff, four are former players and none of them ever even sniffed the bigs.
Looks a lot like loyalty over quality, so I will say "Yes."

Timely hitting is the key! We can't leave the bases loaded with no outs and come away empty.

Sounds like what Nebraska did in football. No new blood and the game passed them by. We need to be hiring elite coaches that want to stay at the college level for a few years. LSU should not be a training ground.

Hasn't LSU scored the second most runs in sec play, and top 5 if you remove the two 20 run games?

Let's put this in football terms. LSU has been dominant defensively for years yet inept in overall offense (with exception of mett, OBJ and landry) Do we blame the defense for a loss to bama when they hold bama to 10 points and we can't score at all? Don't blame the stronger part of your team for the weaker parts issues. Gibbs may not be the best person for the job, but he isn't the reason that other teams are scoring more than us.
