We've gotten live crawfish here as low as $1.79/lb. (very small) and lucked out a few weeks ago with $1.99/lb. crawfish (medium). But these were at the dreaded Fiesta mart and their crawfish are always in questionable shape.

Anyone know where to buy jumbo/select in the area for a reasonable price? I've only found $3.29/lb. for this size.

Unfortunately here in south Louisiana we have very low water and can't get back in the swamp.
Ponds are doing well enough!

I remember either the Kroger or Albertsons in Denton having good ones.

Used to be a great place to buy crawfish at either Walnut Hill and Royal or Walnut Hill and Forest.

Capt Dave's is where we get ours... Price is a little higher but they are always large and in great shape... And most importantly if they promise you they will have them on Sat when you want them they deliver... I've been burned looking for cheap Crawfish before here in Dallas... Not again.

Hell just pay a little extra and have a 40lb sack live delivered to your door straight from Louisiana crawfish farmer. I use them every year to ship to our customers all over the country.
$3.89 lb select includes air freight charges
$4.29 lb jumbo includes air freight charges
Fresh live crawfish delivered to your door.

The crawfish app has heads or tails as the cheapest. You may have to call for size though.

We got 310 lbs live from Fiesta Mart on Greenville Ave for St. Patrick's Day for $1.79/lb and they were actually in good shape and not too small. Ordering another 200 lbs next weekend. Can't beat the price. Fiesta also sells select size.

I'm not picky...I'll settle for some non-Chinese tail so it's not extra chewy

Beggars can't be choosers when it comes to crawfish in NTX though
