LINK

Their lawsuit has frozen funding for 32 charter schools in New Orleans. They want to go back to the corrupt system they all made fortunes from pre Katrina. They hate families have school choice. They hate individuals and love education bureacracy.

MEANWHILE, just to prove how successful these charters are Audubon Charter after receiving 900 applications from families with choice for only 100 spots plans to build another school.

It kills the bureaucrats these schools are so popular

These teacher unions own a lot of the democrats that seek to restrict freedom while preserving big government dictatorial government school systems. BUT their position is getting harder to hold because school choice is becoming so popular. Not even JBE is so stupid to get on TV and say he is opposed to school choice in New Orleans even though he is teacher union puppet.

You see black voters like school choice. Oh the irony. LINK

Gosh liberals are joining with concservatives and libertarians in support of choice

Wow, the left is depriving minorities of choice while rich liberal whites are demanding free birth control pills. A bunch of racist lunatics.

Escaping from the liberal plantation is frowned upon.

Public grade school teacher is the ultimate fallback job. Most of them, you can just see the failure in their eyes.

So is a private school teacher not? I mean where I grew up the best schools in the area were the public schools, while the private schools were better in certain sports.

I'm all for parents choosing their schools, but a private school should be privately funded. Charter schools are corrupt and a waste of taxpayers money.

Yes.

Before I graduated in a public high school, I had one of the most laziest and unprofessional teachers ever for a core class that was blatantly too close with her students, lazy with her lesson plans that didn't challenge her students in critical thinking skills, and gave way too much help to the students.

I complained about her to the principal after the school year and he told me that several others had the same complaint about her as well.

Several years later when I'm doing some community volunteer outreach program at that same school, I see she's still there, administration still hasn't done anything about her and she's even applying to be assistant principal.

When you have human disasters like her still teaching our kids and trying to get more power in the admin, that really says a lot about public education and the complete lack of accountability it has.

Sure that's obviously a problem, but would you say all "have a look of failure?" I know I had many great teachers, so I think that'd an unfair generalization, even if it's true for some.

Audubon charter is run by the OPSB. Many charters in NOLA are failing or close to failing. Every school in New Orleans is charter. Do you really think they are all A rated schools? You're naive if you think they aren't bloated with their own versions of bureaucracy.

Interesting how some people see government schools as preferable to privately operated schools on the basis of corruption!

You got to be blind. We have witnessed generations of corruption in government school systems.

You know what happens when charter schools fail to deliver? They close.

Wouldn't have been great over the years if failing government schools had closed?
