Just browsing through some local jobs online and wondering what the pay range is for a given level. TIA.

You're right. If only I had asked the question towards a more specific group.

When I worked at Michoud doing contract work, Boeing was in the same building. When the job I was on ended, a bunch of the welders got job offers from them. Said it was an easy gig, but they didn't pay too well. Didn't get into exact #s, but it was somewhere in the low to mid 20s (not much for Union welders, apparently).

A lot of people start of in 6 figures. You're gonna need some experience though for that.

They had an interesting job open at Michoud recently, research engineer...but I'm not ready for a change so I didn't apply. Sounded cool though, I'm guessing someone got a good job out of it. I figure it started pretty close to what that person was making before it...usually how things go.

If it is at the Michoud facility, the contracts they have are only good for 2-3 years. They pay even less than Lockheed and Raytheon. Plus it is in NOLA east. I personally would not even consider there unless I was hard up for work.
