I shot modified for the longest time but was given a patternmaster A400 extended ported choke.... I used it towards the end of last season and I'll admit it's pretty badass.

I haven't used many other aftermarket chokes so I can't compare it to them but compared to stock it's night and day. You can really notice the difference if you have to water-swat a cripple at 40-50 yds

Anyone else have experience with other after markets?

I've got the Carlson set. I typically use the mid range. Can't say I've noticed any major difference, but it does have a full choke I can use with steel which is the main reason I got it

I have the decoy and extended range Haydel's tubes for my SX3. I also have a teal and timber tube, but can't remember who makes it. I love the Haydel tubes. I rarely use the teal and timber.

interesting...the prevailing thought was to shift to a more open choke when steel shot came out...now it looks like lots are shifting back to full chokes...

I have a pattern master mid range. Works great with regular cheap federal #3 and #2

I have an SX3 as well...I might have to try them out...

I've shot a lot of shotguns and I really like the way the SX3 handles...
