AT&T vs. Verizon in BR

Been a Verizon customer for several years, never had an issue with them or their service. Considering switching to AT&T for a few reasons (employee discount through work, bill credits since I'm a DirecTv customer, and the Galaxy S6 Active).
How is their coverage in the BR area compared with Verizon? Data speeds?
Thanks,

I did this in July. Haven't noticed any difference.

In and around BR, not much difference
I get much better Verizon service at our camp in SLa and in MS though

I currently have att, and had a Verizon phone in the past.
I'd stick with Verizon by a long shot

Have had both Verizon is better but if it's cheaper for you AT&T is not that much worse.

Coverage for Verizon is much better. I live in the middle of BR and had to walk around the house or go upstairs to get a signal. I did one contract with ATT, will never go back.

All the carriers are pretty much the same in the major metro areas. Out in the boonies is a crap shoot.

Just switched from Sprint to Verizon...feels like I've been missing out on life. That's how good it's been.

Verizon works very very well in the boonies.

I've tried them all, and for me it's Verizon for sure. Best coverage I've ever had

if you go north of BR (Clinton/Jackson/St. Franny/Slaughter) you are lucky to get Verizon, but ATT works just fine.
Further north in Liberty/Smithdale/Gloster/Woodville/Centerville it is even worse for Verizon, but ATT still plugs along like a champ.
Springfield, Livingston, Walker, Albany, and Holden are a crapshoot with Verizon, but fine with ATT.
Ascension Parish is better with Verizon, so if that was the aforementioned "boonies", then you were right.
In the New Roads, both are pretty hit and miss.
I have a work phone and personal phone. Work phone is Verizon, personal is ATT. . .and I have worked in all of the areas I have mentioned, so I am 100% certain that everything I have said is accurate.

Screw both...Go "straight talk"...unlimited talk, text and data...45 dollars per month....and yes it works fine....ive had it for over a yr....
