Just found out that Chevelle's "It's No Good" was actually a cover from Depeche Mode. Went and listened to the original and loved it.

What's some other good Depeche songs to check out?

Go to YouTube and listen to the following live versions of these songs to start off with:

"Enjoy the Silence" - Live in Barcelona
"Never Let Me Down" - Live in Paris
"Everything Counts" - Live from the Rose Bowl

These 3 are a good start and showcase how good they are live.

Dangerous is one of my all time faves. Ultimate stripper song.

Little 15 is an extremely dark song which is cool.

Never let me down is an absolute must

As others have said, go get the entire Violator album. The whole thing is good.

Any album with Alan Wilder on it is great. Also love the 2 pre-Wilder albums. IMO, they hit their peak live during the Devotional tour. The DVD that they put out for that 1993 tour is amazing.

IMO, Get the Balance Right (combination mix) is the best thing they ever put out.

I also like what he did with Nitzer Ebb.

Violator is to 1990 (especially the summer of) as The Cure's Disintegration is to 1989.

I don't know which of the two is better, but best believe they'd both be with me if my house was burning down and I could only go back in and get a dozen possessions (not including family).
