WHat makes you think we can win it with just AD and a bunch of non-allstars?

Because we may not have a choice. What the team needs to do is keep progressing, then the disgruntled All Stars will come to us. In the mean time hope you get lucky, maybe Chicago will cheap out or blow it up and you can get Butler. But if not just make the best moves you can and wait for the next Kevin Love to put New Orleans on his short list.

Parker and Gasol are not true 2nd bananas in the Pippen mold.

Yes they are. You can argue this with Pau, but not with Parker. He was the MVP in 2007 for gods sake and that wasn't a gift. He was the best player on that team.
You think Pippen and MJ didn't have help, just like Parker and Pau had outside of the superstars?

Also, "go find a Hall of Famer" that isn't ancient or very highly coveted isn't an easy task to pull off.

I know that. That's why we aren't winning a championship anytime soon.
We need to keep getting better and hope we can lure a top guy here in a trade down the road, or actually keep a draft pick and get lucky.
We aren't winning one without a legit second fiddle.

We don't even know who our 2nd best player is right now. Every playoff team in the West at least knows who their #2 is.

Would someone bookmark this thread so that a) people can make fun of VOR next fall or b) more likely, they wonder how he knew that significant moves will result in more cap space than originally thought and that a huge addition will be made to the roster to the roster during the off season.

TIA.
