How good/bad would he be with us?

About as good as the other 10 threads about Miller this week have been.

Lsu could use his athleticism to execute some really good handoffs and toss dives

He's a proven player and he's better than what LSU currently has at the position.

We would see very little difference.

How long would it take him to learn the playbook?
Also, wouldn't he have to sit out a year?

I think if you graduated you can transfer without sitting a year.

Miles would under utilize his talent, just like he does with most of our offensive roster. He would use him as a hander offer on 1st and 2nd downs, and put him in tough to convert 3rd and long passing situations.
Miles has changed his offensive philosophy the past few years. He used to have balls, now, not so much. He lives and dies by Darrell K Royal's philosophy of passing the football, which states "Three things can happen when you pass a football, and two of them ain't good."

I guess that's what I'd find most interesting. Miller isn't a prolific passer but he could at least complete basic forward passes on short/intermediate routes prior to his injury. I think he would be a decent litmus test of if the problem is coaching, talent, or some combination of both.
And my bad about another Miller thread if it's been on here all week. Haven't really had a chance to get on much.

Our play book is apparently about 3 pages. That would be tough to learn for an Ohio St grad but doable. Also, I would bet he graduates this summer and would be immediately eligible. Most players finish their undergrad work in 3 years since they take summer classes.

That, in my opinion, is all we need really. That has been Alabama's recipe for success, along with a great defense.
The difference in us and Alabama is the offense. Saban's QB's actually look like they practice passing in practice, therefore it translates in game time. Hell, when we attempt screen passes it looks like a chinese fire drill most of the time.
Miles had really better do some serious evaluation of his philosophies on offense. We are looking antiquated on offense.
The SEC continues to get tougher as the years go by. You can't expect to just line up and out talent the other team by just running the football in between the tackles. If you can't develop some type of an effective run/pass offense, then you can expect to have three to four losses every year. Luckily for Miles, we get elite talent, so the losses (even with his knuckle dragging offense) per season will never be excessive (however you define that).
Miles really needs to hire an offensive coordinator and let him do his job (keep his hands off the offense). If Cam Cameron is really in charge of the offense, then he was a bad freaking hire.
When Jimbo Fisher was our O Coordinator here, our offense was electric, unpredictable, and very effective. We have been on a downhill slide (offensively) since he's left.

When did Steele say this?

Highly unacceptable considering what we pay Miles and his OC and staff. Somebody up top with the $$ needs to lay the hammer down on this BS. It has been a chronic on and off problem for 10 years.
Starting to wonder if Miles has been over his head since 1/9 - something changed with that a-- whipping.

U take this guy in a new york minute if he wants to play here. Some of u on here talking about the coaches are comical. Lets change coaches because we lack a QB this yr.
Some years u dont have a QB. Whats so hard about this to grasp. See TCU last yr but now that guy is the best coach in America?
Try to win without a dominating defense or an average QB in any league. Then try it in the SEC west.
How did it work out for the great Gary Patterson last year in the mighty Big XII?
