Ditto Houstonian. Pretty, secluded feeling yet right there at the Galleria. Do the couples massage at the spa.

i don't find homeless people to be very romantic and downtown has LOTS of them.

You aren't in the right spots then poor boy.

Of course if you are walking a long distance to get somewhere or cutting through alleys like a moron you may find some sketchiness. But that can be said of ANY city.

If you don't mind driving 3 hours it would be worth it to take her to Fredericksburg. Can hit up the wineries in the area (Grapecreek and Becker) and again some great restaurants. I recommend staying at the Hoffman Haus if you can get in.

I will be there for Octoberfest.

Not OT baller so I can't go to Germany.

Do a B&B IN Fredricksburg and get a limo to tote you around the wineries and hit up Garrison Bothers distillery.

It's a hell of a good trip.

Hotel Granduca on Post Oak is a good choice.

Nice!

Go eat at Otto's, its behind the Nimitz museum. Also go get a burger at Alamo Springs Cafe if you have the time. If you want a romantic dinner The Nest is pretty damn good. Hilltop Cafe is another great place to eat.

Never been to Octoberfest there. We are going to Wurtfest in New Braunfels in Nov though

I second Fredericksburg if you don't mind an extra 3 hour drive. My cousins family owns a winery up there and it is beautiful
