Take her out to a moderate place you'd go anyway & call it a practice run. Flowers too.

Wife is pregnant, we know the sex, not until October, we still aren't doing mothers/fathers day this year.
Seems a bit much to celebrate it when she doesn't even know yet. Get her something to give her when ya'll find out for sure if she is pregnant as a present for that along with flowers/dinner.

My wife's due in Septmeber. My mom just called to say she was getting her a mother's day present. I apparently now have to buy her a mother's day present. I try to give my wife anything and everything while she's pregnant, but I never even thought of mother's day seeing as she's not technically a mom yet. I don't know if I'm an a-hole or stupid.
Also, celebrating before finding out is risky. I know the first few weeks of our pregnancy were nerve racking. It's a very delicate time where you have the highest chance of bad news. It's a small chance, but you'll have plenty of time to celebrate once you know everything is okay.

I here ya. My dad gave me the idea. I just wasn't sure that's the best course of action

Question: should I think positive and get her a Mothers Day gift with the chance of bad news on Tuesday?
On Sunday, will she be a mother yet?

I wouldn't. Maybe buy her a card and write a sweet note about how you know she'll be a great mother, and give it to her Tuesday if the results are favorable.
