I love the way he's being used now and hope it continues. When Tyreke isn't bullying the opposing SG in the paint, they have to chase Morrow around through screens.

And he's money from 15 feet. Even when he's on the bench, he gets fired up we throw down big dunks, when the opposing team takes a timeout after a Pelicans run, etc.

I started really noticing after he interviewed Anjinca. I thought the interview was pretty funny, and it seems like he's a pretty good teammate to have

Agreed on Morrow.

Is it just me or have you noticed how frequently the guys without the ball on offense cut into the lane when the ball handler has an isolation? Like 2 separate players cut into the lane at the same time when Davis has an iso in the mid post.

Puts the ball on the floor pretty good too.

My question is this - Why the frick has it taken until now to figure out how to make Morrow a success?

We've had him all year and he'd looked like shite, which I'm chalking up to how he's been used rather than his abilities given that he's looked good on other teams when used in the right way.

He's been much better lately. I hated the shite out of him for most of the season.

Because Monty is too rigid and was forced into getting creative by injuries. Good job coach, but the fact that it took you this long to get creative is why you need to be replaced.

I mentioned last night that a lot of it is his defense. He's pretty terrible there.

He's one of the 5 best shooters in the league but has bounced around like a journeyman. Morrow has to take responsibility for that. It can't just be that all these teams don't know how to use him.

I don't want to be the hindsight guy but I thought that this was exactly why we signed Morrow and we especially needed him after Ryno went down

When you have guys that drive to the basketball as aggressively as EG, Reke, and Jrue (and Aminu) you need shooters to space

It's pretty simple even to the most basic basketball fan so I hear you idk how it took Monty so much time to get Morrow more involved

He said in his post-game interview that he is working hard to improve his defense so that he can contribute on offense. Let's hope he keeps putting in the time and effort

Then use him for some instant offense off the bench and figure out how to cover for him defensively as best you can.

We don't need to be giving him starter's minutes but we need a guy who can hit 3s out there on occasion to spread the floor for Davis.

Hell, my big plan for this past offseason was to get Reddick and a guy like Morrow or Dorrell Wright so that we could have a pick-and-roll offense centered around Davis with guys able to sit outside the 3-point line to shoot if the ball gets kicked out.

Maybe Monty shouldn't punish players for bad defense, but look at himself for bad defensive concepts with the players he has.

Everything you said is how we already use him. There's a reason he's journeyman Anthony Morrow and not a guy who can stick with a team.

Did Rick Carlisle not know how to use him in Dallas?

Morrow needs to watch some more of Richard Hamilton and keep it up.
I like the way he's been playing.
He's a tall guy that can get that mid range shot just about anytime he wants.

He averaged 10+ ppg and around 25 mpg in his 1st 4 years with GS and NJ, last year was when he fell off. Maybe he was in awkward situations with DAL/ATL/NO? I really don't know though. In his early years, the only highlights I ever saw of him was 3's.

It's nice to see more off-ball movement for sure.

He has been a lot better as of late. Him and Rivers on the floor really pick up the energy.
