Anybody know if it's opened yet? Haven't passed by lately, but have a craving for some Greek.

Anybody been to the location in Brusly? I know it's the same family that runs Albasha - how's it compare?

I've had lunch at the Brusly a few times and it's always good.
Where's the new one going to be?

On HWY 73 in Dutchtown, next to Las Palmas (behind the Popeyes and Bancorp South).

What are you talking about that? That place is awesome. Cheap, very quick, and I think the food is solid, comparable to a lot of the better Lebanese places in BR.

Maybe I went on a bad day but everything was horrible, the chicken had a funny taste, the hummus was just bad both texture and taste, the only thing that was decent was the gyros, and from what I understand every place in town gets those from the same people. It was so bad that I was not going to give it a second try, but if you swear by it , maybe I will try it again

I mean, I don't think it's amazing or anything, but when I'm looking for a quick, cheap sit-down meal, it's good enough for me to cross parish lines. I've been there maybe five times.

Give it another shot.

Kamals is great, he can be over the top aggravating at times, but his food is good, but don't let him hear you say his food is Greek, he is very proud that it is Lebanese , and gets upset when someone calls it Greek. He is closed Sunday after 2:00 FWIW

Rightfully so. Most people around have no clue about the differences.

my wife asked about it last week when she was eating at the one in brusly. they claim they are having sewer/plumbing problems with the building in dutchtown. the manager even added that the problems are so bad, if they would have know beforehand they would have leased another building. So who knows when it will be open.
