Will the Lions go pay the asking price?

Much better fit in Detroit than O'Brien and he's only college coach I see jumping levels this year.

How would a career college coach that runs a very college offense that has mostly used mobile quarterbacks be a better fit than a former NFL assistant that runs a pro style offense for a team with a sedentary pocket passer?

He flirted with the Eagles last year. Wouldn't be surprising since many NFL teams seem to be going after college guys - Marrone, Schiano, O'Brien, Chip Kelly…

He rebuilt ND fairly quickly.

"Kelly to Detroit then Saban to ND?"

Duh...obviously but only if Saban doesn't take the Texas job.

(in before Terry and Nick are miserable in Tuscaloosa and have been begging for a way out since they got there in 2007)

Kelly is like Saban. He has a hard nosed style that usually doesn't translate to the NFL. Schiano is also similar.

I don't think Tampa fires Schiano this year, but I could see him making a jump back to college. Penn State would be a possibility.
