Was Blue's injury a torn ACL? I can't remember. For a while last year is what like he would only miss a few games and then after a few games went by it was the whole season. Did he have surgery?

Alfred Blue should be a dark horse Heisman candidate.

No LSU back is going to be a 'dark horse' or otherwise Heisman candidate. Not enough carries and not potent enough offense.

Unless LSU has greatly improved their passing game, opponents will still simply stack the box.

Yeah cause Washington didn't stack the box.

You could always just read the article:

His rehab began after surgery, with Blue on crutches for the first time in his life. There he found teammates Chris Faulk, Travin Dural and Jordan Allen working their way back from season-ending injuries.

I think blue was our best back in 2011. If he wouldn't have gotten injured I think he would have been All American last season. The kid is scary good.

How excited must Alfred be?

Cam Cameron's running back his last year at Indiana averaged more than 7 yards per carry and led the nation in all-purpose yards. He's top 10 all-time in NCAA history in yards per carry.

Cam's running back at San Diego is the all-time single-season TD record holder.

Cam's running back his one year in Miami was leading the entire NFL in yards from scrimmage when he sustained a season-ending knee injury in week 7.

Cam's running back in Baltimore has two 2,000-yard seasons from scrimmage.

While Cam's development of quarterbacks gets the lion's share of the attention, his running backs have absolutely thrived in his system.

Dammmmmmmn Man!!!

You are the current leader for "Big Dick's Post of the Year" in the "Coach Cam Kicks Arse" division!!!

As for my two cents and all, It seems to me that it won't just be big Al Blue, but every single offensive player that will be excited about Cam wearing Purp and Gold in the Valley this year.

Honestly, I think that CCC will elevate every single aspect of the offense including packages, play calling and the philosophies of nearly every position. When you add the new plays that he will install that will take advantage of aspects of a defense that we've never even attacked before, the end result at LSU will be Crystal this year and in the years to come.

And that ain't the Kool-aid talkin baby. Everyone across the nation knows that at least one of the last two crystal balls would have belonged to LSU if they would have had a top 40 offense with a competent passing game. I love seeing LSU ranked out of the top ten in the preseason polls this year. This team is going to burn up Jerry's turf this weekend!

Spencer Ware had 177 att per game in 2011 when we had the 4 horsemen and Magee. Ware averaged 4.0 ypc and Blue will at least average 5.5 which would put him right outside 1000. In 12 games that is less than 15 carries per. Fifteen carries in a 13 game year at 5.5 ypc will net him near 1100 for the season but you know and I know his YPC should be higher than that.
