Alfred Blue may catch everyone sleeping in 2013
quote:

"I'm real eager to get out there after sitting out a whole year," Blue said, smiling. "I can feel it. The countdown is just beginning.

quote:

Said fullback J.C. Copeland: "He hits the hole and explodes, you wouldn't think he had an injury. He's better all around than last year, his speed, his strength, everything."

I wholeheartedly agree. He looked amazing in the first few games last year. When he went down, I knew we lost a huge advantage going into the rest of the year.

Blue is a small horse, but he is a fast, strong horse.

Now, I have always loved J.C. When he blocks, he blocks..........

Unless LSU has greatly improved their passing game, opponents will still simply stack the box.

true .. I think we will be as balanced as we ever have been this season and Blue will fit perfectly in that balanced attack. Can't wait 'til Saturday night!

As was the case the last 2 years, running game was still strong.

I really think we will see Blue get after it this year. I hope he holds up and makes it through the whole season. I love the depth at RB again this year but I am really excited to see what Blue does.

Alfred Blue should be a dark horse Heisman candidate. I think he will be the feature back this year, more like Stevan Ridley and Charles Scott in their last years, only better than them. I don't know how anyone can sleep on a guy who averages around 7 ypc for his career. Also, I'm betting he'll be thrown to in space a lot more than has been the case with this team in the past.

I can see that but the only thing stopping us from winning is ourselves. Balance on offense with our tenacity on defense... formula for success.

Must be a threat both ways to win championships

why do you think the SEC wins ... it's not just speed and size all the time. It's balance.

I'm excited for Blue. He looked like he was on his way to a breakout season before his injury.

I wouldn't mind Hilliard stepping up too.

Bring back shake and bake!

Hill shouldn't be playin right now. Should be Blue and Hilliard against TCU. That's more than capapble.

Small Horse? The guy is 6'2" 220lbs and can out run almost all of the other running backs. He is a thoroughbred.

Not exactly. He had some big runs for us. However, everyone seems to only remember him getting stuffed at the goal line vs USCe.

No, he wasn't great last year, but to say he flat out sucked really isn't correct.
