I'm looking at the Moultrie I65 with the game management system, but it says it uses the AT&T network which is my cell carrier and I dont get signal in my hunting area. Is it the exact same or will this work even though my phone doesn't?

My dad had one. The flood came a few years ago and the last picture he had was of a wave about to hit the camera.

That actually sounds like a cool picture.

OP, if you don't have cell service I don't think you would have "camera service".

Thats what I was thinking, but I didn't know if it would bounce the signal off other carriers towers. I think there is a company that has coverage in that area but I cant remember who it is.

They run off of 3G/4G. If you're phone shows that it is a dead zone, the camera will not work either (unless they equip them with some sort of antenna, which I doubt).

On cellreception.com it shows that there's an Alltel tower north of my location that, obviously, my ATT phone doesn't use. So I guess the Moultrie system is useless for me since it uses the ATT cell service.

I think you are screwed with this. I looked into them a little while back and saw that there was only one option for service. I seem to remember it being too pricey for my convenience, but I don't deer hunt much.

I've used them and you're correct. No cell service, no pics sent. It will still take pictures and store them but won't be able to sen them.

I would never get any work done if I had a game camera that sent me pics of deer all day long.

Ever consider getting a phone signal booster that might help you get a stronger signal? We're trying one this year for better phone reception.

Our cell booster works great, but it wouldnt help you in the woods.

If it was portable and could be used in the woods I'd give it a shot, but just to make phone calls it's not worth it. When I need to phone home to the Mrs. I drive up to the water tower hill and I can get just enough signal to let her know I'm not dead.

We are trying a cell phone booster this year for the first time . Hoping it will help our spotty coverage.
I suppose not many places in the woods where you hunt would have wi fi for a camera feed. At least not where I hunt.
