I would be happy eating at The Park Grill and just getting the salad bar for every meal for $10.

It is the culinary equivalent of a giant carnival. There was an Indian restaurant I found that was about the best thing going IMO. Not great, but you have to grade on a giant curve there.
Both sides of that beautiful national park is surrounded by crap eateries. Carny fare to the north, Indian Reservation/Casino depression to the south.
It is like traveling to a far away exotic island for the scenery and eating microwaved hot pockets for every meal.

Go on vacation. Eat at a chain burger joint. Epic!

Fwiw..... we've eaten out 4 times since we go got here Saturday.
Breakfast once at Smokey Mountain Pancakes. Its breakfast, so you really cant mess that up.
Lumberjack Show. Basically just a couple ticks above cafeteria food although the apple fritters for desert were good.
Applbarn...... same type of food you get at Cracker Barrel, the cost was a little more but the food was of the same quality.
Old Mill Cafe....... was really good and actually our 2nd least exp meal. Me and the wife split a pulled pork sandwhich which was really good. I had a loaded baked potato soup served in a bread bowl that was excellent. My son had grilled Salmon that was good.
Every other meal was eaten as a family at oyr cabin. We cooked breakfast all but one day and had roast beef poboys one night and fajitas and tacos another night.

they use to have this place where you would catch your own rainbow trout then they would go cook it for you.... it was awesome. The whole compound itself was very cool.
However I believe it burned down

Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg is the best breakfast you'll ever eat. Get there early or stand in line.
Peddler is a cool steakhouse on the river. The will cut the meat at your table. Great salad bar. Steaks are good but not great. Make a reservation to get a good table by the window.
Park Grill is another good steakhouse with a great salad bar.
Calhouns is decent BBQ and pretty popular in that area of Tennessee. Worth a try.
Huck Finns in Pigeom Forge is a good catfish house. Similar to a Lamberts with free white beans and such before the meal. Banjo music will be played during dinner though.
Fannie Farkles will have the best corn dog you ever had.
Wild Plum Tea Room is a bit secluded but its worth a drive for lunch. Great views and atmosphere.
Buckhorn Inn is another scenic place with home cooking.

Is The Burning Bush still open in Gatlinburg? We used to go there all the time when I was a kid and they had a great breakfast.
