What is everyone's expectation for the new trilogy? Will it surpass the greatness of LOTR, or be overhyped and maybe become sort of a letdown?

I can honestly say that I have never been more excited for a movie than this one, EVER! I fully trust Peter Jackson will stay true to Tolkien's work and blow everyone away with it! Sonofabitch I can't wait

I'm more excited to see the stuff he adds from the Appendices than the Hobbit specific story.

If he adds even half of what's available, it will be frickin' awesome. LOTR level.

The Hobbit 7 minute trailer

Some fan took all the other clips and TV spots and made one giant 7 minute Hobbit trailer. Pretty awesome

So torn, I want to watch this damn movie so bad and look at everything related to it on the internet including long trailers and behind the scene photographs but I also want to see it all for the first time when I watch it.

Kind of want to do the LOTR marathon in theatres before it comes out. I've never done something like that. That's over 9 hours in the theatre though and I'm like %97 sure I couldn't last. I'd need to like bring some weights to work out with or the iPad to play on and I doubt I can do that.

I couldn't do this no matter how hard I tried. I watched and read every single thing that had anything to do with The Hobbit since the screenplay was still being written.

I'm usually like this too. But, since I've already read the book (along with all the other Tolkien novels) several times, it's not like I don't know what's already going to happen.

I'm just anxious to see one of my favorite stories brought to motion picture.

It's more likely to be a letdown due to the high expectations and being linked to LOTR.

I think it will be a good trilogy but not what LOTR was.

We will get a sticky for this. This is by far the most anticipated movie in a while. This will be truly epic. I mean each movie was given 300 million to make.
