My GF lives in Madison (just North of Jackson and very nice area) and she thinks she's insulated from all this crime. I tell her, it just hasn't gotten to you yet. Crime, and criminals, are mobile. If you are unable/unwilling to protect yourself and your loved ones and are relying on the police....well, good luck.

Except in Madison, the mayor sets the bonds for all crimes and she doesn’t play. I heard a story about a police car chase a few years back that originated in Jackson. When they got caught in Madison, they all had 6 figure bonds which kept them in jail.
