1. Urban Meyer
2. James Franklin
3. Luke Fickell
4. Lane Kiffin
5. David Shaw
6. Mario Cristobal
7. Hugh Freeze
8. Dan Mullen
9. Sark

Based on Woody’s past hires, I expect money to be no object and that we’ll go after the best of the best to right this ship.

How about we start with Fickell

Meyers isn’t stepping foot at LSU with Saban still in the SEC

I think you interview all of them and see who fits best. This job is X’s and O’s, but also a whole lot more.

You have 9 coaches ahead of Saban?
If he is not 1, why is he on your list at all?

Don't advocate for a coach if you can't spell their names correctly.

I think Meyer Fickell Mullen Saban Sark and Freeze are all probably unrealistic.
From your list that leaves Franklin, Kiffin, Shaw, and Cristobal. All of those are probably unlikely to come here except Kiffin who I don't want anyway. Franklin is interesting though

Brian Kelly belongs on that list. He’s hit his ceiling at Notre Dame.
David Shaw …absolutely not

Because I live in the real world here's mine.
1- Napier
2- Fickell
3-Cristobal
4- Chadwell- Coastal
Call the big fish first and gauge interest. I can't imagine Meyer being interested, but a call is free.

Classic. Thank you

I don’t think Bill O’Brien is being mentioned enough. He was a successful coach at Penn State and with the Texans (until they made him GM). Getting the Saban car wash right now. That Bama offense he’s running looks pretty good.

He does, but he’s also proven to be a guy who can’t get it done. Very Paul Manieriesque

I know “success” is subjective, but I really don’t understand why there’s this perception that BOB was successful at PennSt.
Did he manage to avoid a total collapse? Sure, but I don’t know that I would classify what he did at Penn St a success. He mitigated a potential disaster, but I think I’d prefer our bar being a little higher than a coaches’ crowing achievement being “mitigated disaster and made a bowl game”
