This is a shitty move in a sense but I can't blame the guy. There are reasons why more and more companies are moving out of La and that is because their business environment sucks big time. There is no incentive to move into La or stay in La at this time.

Most of his whole little marketing ploy revolved around the company starting in BR and being local, and being true to their roots, etc, blah blah.
That is one of the reason I supported the place and ate the average food when choosing it over other fast food options. If they are moving to Dallas, they are now no different than Taco Bell or McDonalds to me.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is definitely glad they never listened to you.

Is it just me or are the chicken fingers getting much smaller? Now it's like eating chicken fries.

Sidney Torres is a man of the people. He works side by side his workers, and pays his workers far more than the competition. In a strange way, I respect him.

So Graves should forget about his family's financial situation and keep his headquarters in Louisiana? You obviously never have owned a business in Louisiana. And i get it that he has made a ton of money off of Louisiana. He obviously has a thirst for more. I guess thats wrong?
Good for Graves for trying to better his business as well as his families future.

Yeah, cause having $100 million a year in sales in such a bad thing.
He wants to make a fortune and that is fine. He will ride for few more years and sell out. Great. Canes is nothing more than a national chain in my eyes now.

Family's future?
LOL!
Few things are more dangerous to a society than a aristocratic class, which a couple of you guys are advocating when you say, "He needs to be concerned with the financial well-being of his family."
HELLO???? His company is making $125,000,000 a year. His family is very well taken care for. For many generations. So you're worried about what his great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandson is going to do?
Move off to Texas if you must, but don't pretend to be loyal to your Louisiana roots. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
Exporting jobs and tax revenues to another state is state treason in my book.

I don't really get how he can justify moving his headquarters to Dallas, but he's staying in BR. It's like f my employees- y'all can move if you want to keep your job, but I'm just going to stay here. Screw that.

He and Ruth's dont get a dime of my money.
Screw 'em both, long and hard.
His motives are now perfectly clear.

My dream is to have a few more locations someday and a nice commissary to store supplies and order in bulk. The day I need a corporate office, is the day I'm no longer in the restaurant industry. I do my business in a chef coat, not an office chair.

Aww, come on Opie's Cajun Cafe based in Columbus, OH has a nice ring too it.

I was naive enough to think at one point that as the owner, you do what you want, you call the shots, it's your company, and you dont have to answer to anyone. That lasted about 24 hours. You have a responsibility to your customers, but even more to your employees. The day you stray from that, is the day you suck as a human being.

Opie, even though you are from Baton Rouge, I respect you.

Opie if you want to split a commisary,I have a location. I am in Kansas right now gearing up for a year in the box but when I get back it might be a good pairing.
