Water heater is a beast also. You'll hear the generator really work when you run it. Cold showers do get old after a while though.

Nguyener I read that 12 was one lane in some places due to branches/debris. Just be careful and alert. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

does FEMA consider no power and no running water “uninhabitable” for reimbursement purposes?

State Farm did not for us in LC last year, a local agent tried telling higher ups to try living in Louisiana with no AC or water to no avail

Anyone know a reason why I couldn’t drive from Lafayette to Bay St Louis tonight taking 10 to BR snd then 12 back to 10 to Mississippi?

I just drove from Mandeville to Fairhope, AL. I-12 is clear from Mandeville to Slidell, as is I-10 in Mississippi.

Damn shame ... no water should be qualifying on it's own

Not to mention the mold/water damage that getting an ac working quickly can help you avoid. I did go from 5% to 2% after Laura with State Farm.

Oh hey family friend of my parents! Yeah I remember those camping trips from when I was young. Thank you for the prayers. Hopefully that and time will be the only support we need to get through to the other side of this. We’re all ok over here and even though it’ll be a pain the stuff we lost can all be replaced.

I live in Metairie and parents live in Galliano. Parents are out of town. Any way I can make it down there tomorrow to survey damage?

I plan on dropping the wife and kids off in Gulfport tomorrow and driving back to Metairie to survey damage and tie up some loose ends. I assume there are no restrictions on I-10?

I doubt they're going to be letting people in yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone on here knows a way.

Someone sent me this TikTok video and I didn’t realize that was my wheelin’ buddy who’s a firefighter in Orleans Parish.

LINK

No injuries other than his pride. He’s got a lot of messages giving him shite headed his way when he gets back to the hotspot at the station.
