I have the frozen six packs of the pepper jack cheese stuffed Boudin balls. I have a deep fryer. Should they be thawed before dropped in the fryer or dropped in frozen? Thanks.

Drop in frozen if frying. You can also thaw and bake in oven.

Contrary to the popular opinion, I really don’t like the stuffed boudin balls. It’s just too much and doesn’t sit well in my stomach. One, and I’m done with them. That said, I really like Billy’s links but my favorite it Best Stop. Baked in the oven until that skin gets crispy, f’n delicious.

I thaw them out and fry them. If you fry them from frozen, they’ll be over cooked on the outside before the inside is warmed up. I suppose you could fry them at 300 and get good results but it’s too easy to just thaw them out.
