COVID got me back into amateur radio. Bought and restored a few old tube shortwave receivers. I have had a lot of fun listening to the rest of the world and their opinions on lockdowns, vaccinations, loss of freedom, etc.
Talked to a few overseas and found out Trump is more popular globally than most here would think, and our loss of freedoms have really perplexed them.
US media does not report near enough on what is really happening overseas as far as regular Citizens views are concerned.
Some of the Chinese propaganda stations are funny to listen to when they have “Engrish” broadcasts. Listing to the the Ching Chong language is also entertaining and makes the kids laugh.
We throw on a Cuban station on taco Tuesday’s.
Also talked to a few guys in South America through the repeater on the ISS. Although it’s having some antenna problems right now.
I have probably talked to more people over the radio during this shite than I ever did in person before.

Bourbon. Obsession started on my first distillery tour way back.... I was hooked on the perfect blend of art and science that goes into the perfect bottle. When came time for my bachelor party I asked to do the bourbon trail in KY. Also..... its fricking delicious

What are you breeding? I got the kids a tank with some plattys and those things reproduce like rabbits.

There’s hundreds of hours of documentaries on Prime. Search UFOTV and go from there.

Mutt Guppies and Mutt Platys (no effort needed, like you said). Ancistrus (Bristlenose plecos), red cherry shrimp, and yellow tiger endler's livebearers. Actively selling all. Once I'm clear of guppies and platys, I'm probably going to breed a species of rainbowfish.

I’m weird with you. Been playing Flight Simulator since I was 8 years old. Had a huge wall atlas and an aircraft compass as a kid so I could map my headings. Then worked at an aircraft repair center during high school and college.
I’d love to quit my job and go back to that lol

I think that stuff must be like cilantro. It's supposed to be good whiskey, but to me it tastes like baboon sweat dispensed from a dry-rotted tire.

I’ve become addicted to throwing darts and watching pro darts from England. I’ve built a complete setup like they throw on. It even has a full Oche that you have to step up on to retrieve your darts.

3d printing but. it necessarily the printing pet but the modding and upgrades you can do to the printers. There is also a large community of dudes doing it which is fun to have something to talk about instead of work all day

Also, bottles (not the ones you lined your college house with) and arrowheads and petrified wood. Grew up middle of nowhere along the Oregon Trail/Indian country. It was a big passion of my grandpas and I didn’t like digging at all those encampments as a child at the time. But now I have a huge collection of items that are 200 years old and I appreciate it every year I get older

Been dabbling here myself. Really interesting stuff, though much is still over my head. Literally and figuratively.

It’s always been airplanes and flying for me. Flew RC in high school, which probably accounted for my dry spell. I like pretty much all of them, except the CRJ-200.
I love hunting and being outdoors, but not nerdy about it.
