Yep. Loved it! Played 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 all day long practically. Carpet floors were unforgiving. Remember the "tours" and some coach/instructor "Archibald..." something or other. Some dudes did this toothbrushing tour routine where they used the same water to brush and rinse their mouths and the last dude drank that shite

Tons of kids from all over the area have attended the camp over the years.

I think all 3 of the Manning brothers spent time there. It’s where Cooper earned his reputation as the most athletic brother, and Peyton learned he better concentrate on football.

Good times. Where you play so much basketball, you can't help but improve.

Remember people filling up garbage cans with water, leaning them against dorm doors, knocking and running.

I remember it was always a challenge to escape your room at night and see how long you could go before getting caught. Those poor counselors never slept.

Me

Few of my buddies and myself paid a camp counselor $100 to put us all on the same 3 v 3 team in the ACC.

We went like 0-6

Very fun times

Yep, it was tough but fun and I think if you wanted you could get something from it.

Fun fact the best player there at the whole camp was one Tommy Hodson. And you could ask any of my teammates there with me unsolicited and they'd say the same thing.

Always love when this thread subject pops up.

I still, to this day, remember several of the memorable skits that were performed on stage. I also 100% open my mail from the end because that’s how he did it at camp.

My last year there someone stole the Bear trophy, and proceeded to lose it. Talk about some suicides we had to run.

I don’t miss playing basketball on carpet floors
The older kids in the NBA got the hardwood and good dorms. I went one year in SEC, 2 in the ABA, and 1 in the NBA. The last year was the best. I remember watching my first lesbian porn video with my roommates and sneaking out to the lake. Good times.

Edit: I must also add that the auditorium shows after lunch were a treasure. Garrett Temple came by my last year after they shite the bed against UCLA in the final four and Temple had the balls to do a Q&A and the first question went along the lines of, “what the frick happened?” He was a good sport about it and apologized to us young LSU bball fans. Temple was always a class act.

I went in '86 and '87. Pretty good camp. Remember Kinchen being there.

I remember Joe Dean Jr freaking out on his son (maybe 4-5 at the time) in the lunch line and spanking him way over the top. That always stuck with me. What a dick. Kid wasn't even doing much.

That video looks like a weird indoctrination.

Kind of like Fish Camp at A&M...

Hated the carpet floored gyms they made us play in for a couple years, those brush burns were hell.

I didn't go to this... basketball wasn't my thing as a kid.

Why did y'all play on carpet floors?

They had a couple gyms.. one with hardwood floor and the others were more all purpose gyms with the removable carpet flooring. I assume they had it because it was a cheap durable option.
