BR was twerking in the 70’s but just didn’t call it that. Sorry NOLA.

It was a beautiful place. Just wonderful.

When did they change the driving age? I got my license at 15 in 1993.

A lot of us were driving at 12.

My dad used to let me drive around Central some several years before I had a drivers license.
I also got caught driving a car down Sherwood that we, ummm, borrowed from my neighbors dad's girlfriend when I was like 13. I was such a dumbass at that age

Theme Park? Blue Bayou didn't open until 1989 and Dixie Landings didn't open until 1999.
Did I miss Six Flags or Disney being there in the 1970s?

Just curious
it was glorious, Highland Rd. was rocking, all of the other bars in town were too, drinking age was 18 so that was never an issue, milfs/cougars didn't discriminate against college kids, every woman was on birth control, and there wasn't anything you could catch that couldn't be taken care of with a little tetracycline

Woody Dumas was mayor.
Woodland was considered waaaaaay out of town, so were
Baker, Zachary, Gonzalez, and Denham.
Sherwood Forest, Villa Del Rey and Broadmoor were the upper middle class white neighborhoods.
Time capsule in Sherwood Forest this was a baller house in the 70s

Damn
Luckily I didn't wreck it. I got nominated to drive because I was the only one that knew how to drive a standard.
Just my luck - me, my buddy, his cousin and her friend were in the car and pulled up at a red light right next to the sister of the womans car we were joy riding in.

Considering that was Billy Cannon’s house, I’d say he was the ultimate baller in BR

Was it really? That's cool. I'm glad it's under contract because I was tempted to buy it. I wonder if there's any counterfeit 100 dollar bills buried in the yard.
