Warriors, Pelicans, Grizzlies interchangeable for the play-in spots

I just don't see the Grizzlies quite getting there. Last year they benefitted from a very easy early season schedule and this year JJJ and Winslow are out for the season.

Got to refrain from picking this year with the status of the biggest standings influencer in the leagues destination being unknown.

1. Los Angeles Lakers
2. Los Angeles Clippers
3. Portland Trail Blazers
4. Denver Nuggets
5. Dallas Mavericks
6. Houston Rockets (if Harden is there)
7. Phoenix Suns
8. Utah Jazz
9. NO Pels
10. GS Warriors

Honestly feel like 6-10 will be separated by a few games. Utah is getting a ton of hype for a bubble performance but they still lack a second Alpha to Spida Mitchell. The Pelicans could win 52 games or 42 games and I wouldn’t be shocked by either result.

1. Milwaukee Bucks
2. Boston Celtics
3. Brooklyn Nets
4. Philly 76ers
5. Miami Heat
6. Toronto Raptors
7. Indiana Pacers
8. Washington Wizards
9. Atlanta Hawks
10. Orlando Magic

Don’t care for Eastern basketball though this will be the best the East has been 1-8 in a long long time. If there was a West vs East All Star Game it would be competitive this year but West still edges out the East.

those seem difficult this year, wonder what the policy is on cancelled/not made up games. if some teams dont make it to 82?

Jackson is out for the year? If so I agree with you, but I’ve only seen start of the season. A meniscus tear in August shouldn’t keep him out more than a few games this year.

it would have to be a no bet if they don’t play 72.

I like over on PDX AND under on PHX as my best picks.

Kinda surprised to see so many predictions with Nets being middle of the pack in the East.

I guess they're factoring in Kyrie being, well, Kyrie.

Nets will likely cruise through the East in the regular season if they are healthy.

How bad/dumb are the Nets for not wanting to trade Kyrie for Harden?

You’re assuming the Rockets would want Kyrie. I know I wouldn’t.

Kyrie plus Levert and filler would be worth a conversation considering they aren't get anything else close to that from another team.

Rockets wants aside I just think it's crazy that the Nets wouldn't consider trading Kyrie+ for James Harden.

Every team has high hopes going into the year.

Wait until the trade deadline when reality hits teams and they have to make decisions. James Harden will be much more sought after at that point.

Or even next off-season. Harden became available late this off-season after teams were already set to go for this year. If not at the trade deadline, wait until next off-season and more teams will be in the mix for him.
