Restaurant where they throw buscuits ?????

I'm going to Gulf Shores, Al and someone told me there was a place I had to go to where they throw buscuits at you. For the life of me I can't remember the name of it.
Anyone know?

Chicken fried steak and ribs are the best items on the menu.
Ask for the BBQ sauce on the side for the ribs.
Eat as many rolls as you can. They are that good.

We went last summer and I thought it was awful. I had been once before and it was good, but this time the food was flavorless. While it's nice to have rolls thrown to you it's not worth the wait. Save your money and go elsewhere.

That is one of those places that I can't get the image of a redneck mecca out of my head due to people always running their mouth about the throwing of the rolls. If that is all everyone talks about, it must not say much about the food.
I have heard good and bad, I am going to go one day, but I will have to catch it early mid week cause I don't do long waits at restaurants.

yeah, i've tried several times before and the wait was insane. I said screw it and went somewhere else.

I went about 7 years ago and I thought it was pretty damn good. Then again my taste has changed a lot since then. I do remember the rolls being very good and the food was definitely much better than Cracker Barrell.

The food was ok. Rolls were good.
The hostess herds you in with a bunch of other tables and basically puts your menu down and points at the table. Our server was mean too. It looked like she was having a bad day so we tipped her a few extra dollars. Not even a thank you.
And they don't take credit cards.

I think there is a Mellow Mushroom right by Lambert's.
I've never gone to Lambert's because it is indeed always very crowded, and it just seems like a place that you go to because everybody says you should try it. Kind of a tradition for out of towners. I suspect that locals don't go very much because they know of better places in the same area without all the tourists.
