its right by the walmart thats off that main road...i forget the name of it...the one that ends at the ocean. probably about a mile from the ocean on the left if you're driving towards the gulf. its a locally owned place open just for breakfast, and its really good.

Our server was mean too. It looked like she was having a bad day so we tipped her a few extra dollars. Not even a thank you.

So let me get this straight you tipped MORE because your server was mean and didnt even say thank you because she may have been having a bad day! What the hell is wrong with you?

i dunno but i always go to hazels for breakfast when i'm there.

I always put Hazel's near the top of my "World's Worst Restaurants" list.

Went there for dinner a couple of years ago, I was happy to see all of the LSU paraphernalia I figured, these people are from Louisiana, they know how to cook seafood.

WRONG

I was steered to the AYCE buffet for about $18 and it was awful. Gumbo inedible, fried seafood inedible, everything inedible. I think we had to go to a drive through to get something to eat that night.

You must be related to them if you like it.

I do remember the rolls being very good and the food was definitely much better than Cracker Barrell.

It's not, don't waste your time. The rolls are really good but the food is Picadilly quality and not close to Cracker Barrell. You have to wait in line 30 to 45 minutes if you get there at 1000 a.m. ? Tourist trap.

Was in Gulf Shores last week...didn't eat out though. Ate at the house...wanted to spend most of the time on the beach. Especially later in the evening...it wasn't as crowded.

My sons and their friends went to Orange Beach to see Journey, Cheap Trick and Heart. They said it was a great show.

We go every time we are in Gulf Shores. I don't find it to be horrible food. But then again I always get the chicken tenders. They also pass around food while you wait like Black eyed peas, fried okra, mac and cheese, potatoes and onions.
I think it is just a fun place especially if you have kids with you. They also pull pranks on random people.

ETA: We have never had to wait more than 30 mins.

Doc's is the best place to eat by far in OB. Get there early or you will wait outside. However the beer is very cold.
