La Moranita grocery deli on florida. Pork is better than the chicken. Ask for queso and cremma on top. They are more authentic than the usual "texas hots" , but damn good eating.

If you are looking for something like “Manny’s “, sadly I don’t know of any and would be very interested myself. The old “Delta” style is not common anymore. Oh, and Doe’s aren’t really what I’m looking for.

La Tienda on Siegen has great ones at the register in the grocery. Already steamed and hot, like getting boudin at Billy’s. I had pork which was stuffed with large chunks of shredded pork. They also had stuffed banana leaves (chicken?) which I will try another day.

La tienda on siegen. The pork tamales are one of my favorite items in the world. Everything there is incredible. I recommend you dine in. Their chips and salsa are great and everything is super authentic.

Mi Tierra on Perkins just south of Siegen has good Honduran tamales. Big scoters with plenty of meat and veggies. Fairly inexpensive, too.

Used to be La Reyna, new owners, now Mi Tierra.

Not BR, but this site's tamales are said to be close to those from Muffalettas in BR back in the day. I have not tried them.

El Limon on Jones Creek has pretty solid Tamales. Get some of the spicy green salsa to go with.

Look up Mamita's Hot Tamales on Facebook. Figure out when they will be in NOLA southshore or Mandeville. Then go pick up a dozen.

They have beef ones and corn ones, both very good. They also have chicken ones which are HUGE and I don't think as good.
