Prioritize family and friends.

We’ve had dinner weekly with my parents. Her family and my sisters live elsewhere, most of them in San Antonio.

My best friend lives in Colorado Springs. We communicate daily in a group text format. The other member of our group just had a baby a month ago, so he is wary of hanging out. We had a bridesmaid drop out from attending the wedding. That happened today. Covid is scaring people, and I certainly can’t judge them. I’ll wear a mask and distance myself, but I’m tired of this being a reason to dictate lives. We all could be staring down the barrel of having a year of our lives spent in this form of purgatory.

Im right there with you bro. Plus I recently moved to the Bay area where I pay 2500 for a one-bedroom apartment.

Everybody around me is wearing masks and they aren't friendly.

I don't like them too much.

Hundreds of people gather on small strips of green in a sea of asphalt.

I hope to leave here soon.

Meanwhile, this has been one of the best years of my life so far. I have had so many successes it has been unreal. I even caught the covid from a coworker and never even knew I had it until much later. That was 2 months ago and I feel better than ever.

Truly, you must make the most out of whatever your situation is. A new day will come.

Don’t watch the news, stay off of social media. You’ll be much happier.

People let CNN and the vocal idiots on social media convince them that America is full of hate filled idiots.

What’s going on right now has set race relations back 25 years. They’re trying to force feed unity down our throats by stripping away at any part of history that refers to the white race. That shite doesn’t work. You’re not alone in your thoughts. I predict that they will push and push and push to a certain point, and then look out! And by they, I’m not talking about any one race. Because the liberal whites living in white guilt right now are actually the worst culprits of the great over reaction/over compensation right now.

The answer to unity is not the way they’re doing it. The answer was a lot closer to the way things were before all of this started.

It sounds like you know what your problems are. The question is how do you quit drinking, staying up late and caring about the news. Do you know if you can stop those things?

You can start with rules and follow them.
Don’t go on social media or watch the news and unfortunately OT Lounge is basically news now.
Only drink between 5-7 pm if you need to drink and make it only a couple of days a week.
Lay down in bed at 10 pm the latest every night. Those things will help.
Once your wedding is over that will be another stress lifted.

Do something you enjoy doing. You don’t have to knock up your fiancée, but practice is fun. Learn a piece of music that is extremely difficult. Learn a whole new album. Listen to music with dinner and turn off the TV after 5 pm.

Also, don’t feel sorry for yourself or people who look like you. White men have dominated western civilization and will continue to do so. It is the truth. How many white men are CEOs? How many white men are senators or Supreme Court justices? It is foolish to follow the narrative completely. More diverse representation happens over time, but white males will still be in the majority. Start thinking logically and don’t let the news influence your thoughts and emotions so much.

Turn off the news, especially the national outlets (CNN, Fox, MSNBC). These are propaganda machines bent on derision.

Turn off social media. FB and Twitter are where a vocal minority can vent about their virtue signaling bullshite.

Get outside. Find a run group or cycling club. Some sun and exercise will always make you feel better physically and mentally.

The A#1 overarching cause for the left's rabies and foaming at the mouth and crazy eyes and hysteria over the past 3.5+ years has been to lessen Trump's chance of reelection. All other actions, plans, goals etc stem(med) from that.

And no matter which way you slice it, they won't have that item atop the agenda immediately following the upcoming election. It will change the equation considerably, and I believe the net result will be a rather noticeable reduction in their rabid tendencies. Not complete cessation of their rabies, but again, noticeable reduction.

I haven't slept much over these past few months, work has been hell and yet, personally, I am happier than ever, I go to the beach and watch the sun set, play pool, dance, and took a long weekend trip to Key West. They say time speeds up as we age because we get stuck in a routine. Do different things, make life meaningful to YOU. frick what everyone else thinks. HAVE FUN...

Deactivate all if your social media right now. All of it.

Stop watching cable news. Cut the cord or find some way to not watch it.

Fix your sleep schedule.

You need to find a purpose, a mission.
Find a new hobby or something to sink your time into. Think of something that you will enjoy that can help your career. I personally took up coding - as soon IT professional it will be a great tool.

#1-Quit watching the news and paying attention to social media

#2-Stop/ slow the drinking, and go to bed at a decent hour. The drinking is leading the charge here for you pal. Stop drinking and you wont be up until 4-5am. Go to bed before 4-5am, and you wont sleep all day. You don't sleep all day, you have more time in the day to get more done. Accomplishing more makes you feel better, no matter what it is.

You're the only one that can fix it.

Honestly, as white people; we have complete control over this. If these cucked pussies would wake up and realize that we’re done with this bullshite, then it would get corrected. BLM and this antifa crowd are only going to push it as far as we let it go. If we stood up and said enough, this shite would go away. The companies will stop as soon as we hit their wallets. Social media only gives power if people are on it. Get off of social media, and don’t spend your money at companies who hate you.

I feel the OP. We have crossed a threshold that I fear we may never return from. I am all for the peaceful protests and blacks feeling enraged, but how did an isolated incident in Minnesota cause protests around the globe? With statues and name changes and cancel culture. OP, it is very triggering. You feel the same way MOST of us feel. The majority.

One of the other posters had a great suggestion. Network with as many people as possible and discuss the elections in November. Black people are not the only ones calling for "change" and most of America wanted it 4 years ago.

November is going to be rough. I predict a 3rd or maybe 4th round of media brainwashing over Covid coupled with outrage if Trump is elected. But it is going to be bad either way.

This country is lost. People believe that Trump is a racist bigot and misogynist authoritarian. He is the last hope for now between us and that very same authoritarianism. Black people continue to believe the democratic party is their party when it only treats them as special citizens who need more because they cannot do it for themselves. Most black people are anti-abortion and anti-LGBT; why would they want to be considered part of the same party?

All that said, take time to appreciate what you DO have and get out more. I found myself watching the News too much and I just turned it off. I'm taking the family to the beach tomorrow. Time to break from the tunnel vision that is MSM.

Hang in there.

Went and rode four wheelers yesterday at the lease.

Shot guns.

Awesome.

Go get your a dual sport motorcycle. Ride out somewhere and go adventure riding. Pack some shite in a backpack and disappear. It's amazing. You can pick up a decent one for $2500 used and get after it.

Get a helmet. Some boots preferably. Not necessarily need riding boots but definitely not tennis shoes. Put in some Bluetooth headphones and get hot.
