I’m not looking again until tomorrow. I’ve bought all that I can buy and have promised myself no more.

If you want to relieve some of the panic, check out the 5 day chart of Lithium stocks across the board.

ALB, LTHM, PLL, LIT, TSLA, LAC, SLI

The charts all look identical. This is a sector bash, it’s not SLI specific (though of course we are at the top of the volatility range). So it’s not like some great leak has come out or some bad news specific to Standard is coming out.

Market just hates lithium this week for some reason.

Sold a huge chunk at 6.15, going to buy back at 5.50. I think this is going to sink a bit more, unfortunately. No news and rough economic data will probably make this week a great buying opportunity.

El Gaucho....you really annoy the shite out of me...this thread isn't about your demo tapes, non-existent mommies, or tired jokes.

Will be very temporary.

Don’t know what energy sector the market likes this week, because it certainly isn’t O&G either.

Bank of America released a report on Monday with underperform ratings on Albemarle (ALB) and Livent (LTHM). BofA predicts 2022 lithium production could double what is produced in 2021 which could lead to decrease in lithium prices.

Does that assume constant demand?

I think this is what a lot of Albemarle’s statements in their quarterly were alluding to. Mentioned it many pages ago. It seemed like they were trying to throttle supply forecasts.

I feel like the Lithium market is just tied directly to TSLA at this current point in time.

Tesla dropped because of a "probe" being launched into investigating their autopilot driving feature. Also, I doubt the Chinese stocks going to hell and back are helping.

Realistically, this is a magnificent buying opportunity. No news and a 30% drop.

Also, Michael Burry has mega shorts against TSLA and ARKK. I think this BoA analyst is just trying to ride the same boat as Burry but targeting lithium to be different.

I am in for the long haul, but we could sure use some news. The Tetra PEA was originally quoted as early Q3 - so that is effectively due. The JV obviously.

Or even some operational update on what they hinted at last month with processing foreign non battery grade lithium etc....

Again long term but this is a steep move

I don't know man. Ford and Gm stock both jumped when they announced an EV push. It's where we are going.

If someone off loads another couple hundred thousand in the morning… that will break the camels back.

No I agree with you. I'm saying that, for right now, the stock price of tesla seems to dictate or at least heavily influence the stock price of Lithium companies.

I'm pretty sure it will be back up before Friday. That's when the ET distribution arrives.

Too hard for me to predict the future.

Added another thousand shares at 5.86

(after my absolutely LAST proclamation of ENOUGH! last week, which was only executed to get me to an even number)
