I’m curious about the 4/5 workers still working having some changes.

I assume alot of places are not giving out bonuses this year

I would assume bonuses in a lot of companies will be cut if not axed all together

I've seen reports of some companies putting a "pause" on their employee match for 401K contributions as a way to try to cut every corner they can just to stay afloat. There is no telling how long that pause will be. Could be years.

Nursing home residents are experiencing next level depression due to dramatic decrease in socialization. This leads to weight loss, refusal of care and rapid advancement of dementia and mental health issues.

Speaking of education, I think the entire school model may be rethought. A combination of online and in-class curriculum would be a more efficient use of buildings and taxes, parents may seek out options for curricula that better fits their values, and recognizing how much fluff is in the average school day are just a few things for starters.

We may have a generation who become germaphobes. The emotional impact of being scared to be around people will have an impact too. No links for this, just speculation based on how quickly social distancing became the norm and people being scared to return to normal.

You are assuming that all parents give a shite about their kids education. I completely agree with you but it will never be put in place because the Democratic liberal model is to defer personal responsibility into victimhood. A more efficient model does the opposite.

You are probably right unfortunately.

The restaurant industry trade group predicted in March than 2/3rds of existing restaurants would shutter, because of the virus.

You know things are jacked up when you're requesting one of my threads to be stickied

But yes, food shortages will be a huge issue. And as an exporter of food this will not only hurt us but the rest of the world.

It's time to put our disagreements aside and acknowledge what's going on brother

I'm just bumping this thread, I think it is very important, we all know about the HOAX and who did it.

Let's discuss the side effects of COVID 19 that MR Trump was unable to think about when he decided to shut this MF down.

COVID < Cure

This is also culturally linked. It's not across the boards. European news reports that most of the wife beating is going on in Spain. Don't know why.

Just to be crystal clear. It's not a hoax and you are a piece of shite.

This thread is here to talk about unintended consequences and risk. It's not meant for morons. Post elsewhere.

You keep posting negative impacts, pretending it's somehow news to people here TOLD you what would happen, and you were still a doomsdayer who wanted everything shut down.

But yeah, I'm the one who sounds dumb.

Logan's was already on life support before all this happened though, so they might not be the best example.

I don’t doubt this, but how is it related to the virus? Coincidentally, I took my then-9 month old to get vaccines last month. But I have mood than one functional brain cell...

Probably because you're a good mom and don't live in fear.

Happy Mother's Day!
