I stayed in the one in Tulsa. Most of the items they had out as memorabilia were fakes. They would have the picture of the person in the garment next to the actual garment. In a number of cases the garments were REALLY close but actually had differences that were only observable if you looked really close.

That place was the worst. It smelled like smoke and desperation. The food was horrible and the furnishings were an assault on the senses. It was pretty unpleasant.

Update: Oh she mad

quote:

A spokesperson for New Orleans government responded to the letter, calling Lucas' letter a "PR stunt."

"Fear of damage to their brand has finally prompted Hard Rock's corporate leadership to engage with this crisis, four full months after the tragedy," spokesperson Michael G. Tidwell said. "Shame would be far more appropriate."

This is what happens when you elect community organizers to positions of leadership.

I also understand the complexity of the situation, and I also understand that staffing and supplying whatever is needed for demolition could take time

I can't see how this problem is any more complex that WTC 1, 2, & 7, or the Murrah Building in OK City, the latter being demolished in under 90 days.

It's a lot more complex due to the site. Especially compared to OK City.

She needs the distraction from her personal finance scandal, plus she has to find a way for Kailas to benefit, most likely being able to demolish two other properties so that once those are gone, and the HRH is gone, he gets to develop and build something more significant in size, and contribute even more to her campaign.

The hate is flowing this afternoon. :(

Anecdotal comparison:
When I first started in construction, we were building a big box store in Algiers. This was a pile supported building built on a base of sand that was intended to sink so the plumbing needed to be hung from the slab in the sand so that when the sand subsided, the plumbing would still be supported.

At one point the inspector came by and there was some sort of transaction where the plumber had to buy some tables at some benefit the inspector was involved in or he would make his project go bad. Plumber handled it like it was business as usual, nbd.

Years later when the sand subsided, none of the of plumbing was supported and they had to hire someone to tunnel under the building and repair all of the plumbing.

All you need to due is understand who Kailas is as well as Latoya Cantrell. They are both bottom-feeding scum.

Well maybe they should pony up some money or whatever is needed to get the building brought down, and the poor soul still entombed to be removed

Why would hard rock pony up a single cent for something that was not their fault? All they were going to do was license their name to the hotel once it was completed.
