PSA. This is the same dumbass that posted numerous threads last year calling for Wade to be fired. He’s not objective, he’s got some weird agenda against success. Apparently he liked things better when JJ had top 10 classes missing the tournament or when he didn’t have top 10 classes and we won 2 conference games.

Don’t humor this idiot with a response.

Why are you such an idiot?

Utah State is 19-7
@ Texas was a decent win
Liberty is 23-3 and we beat them by 17

Do you not REALIZE just how monumental it is that LSU basketball has not only been in the conversation ever since Wade took the job but has arguably been THE conversation in the SEC for the past two seasons?

You literally have to go back 40 years to find the kind of consistency that Wade has brought to the program, and he's doing it this year through fundamentals and effort because we have practically no height and no shooters. Damn you're stupid.

I firmly believe they are over achieving this year.

Tiger79, you and I agree on this. to start the season, we seemed 1 player short. we signed deshawn thomas only to see him never cleared medically and then enter the transfer portal without playing at all. plus, we had to deal with marlon taylor's injury and now mannings. given our lack of depth, the way we've played this season speaks to me of this team is over-achieving. we seem 1-2 players short for a deep run. that's what i attribute these late game collapses. it's not bad coaching. it's a short bench... playing only 7 kids per game. that takes a toll.

I wasn't going to reply because I try not to perpetuate stupid posts, BUT, we outplayed Auburn on their home court and should have won that game, but we are going to get hammered at home against a team that lost to Auburn?

bullshite man. This team is above average at worst. We proved we were legit if nothing else this last Saturday vs Auburn. We should have won that game and will best them when we play them again. LSU is better than Auburn.

This stupidity doesn’t deserve a response. I’m ashamed I even gave this much of one.

OP sounds like it came from someone who knows little about LSU MBB or MBB in general.

LSU is an NCAA tournament team. Probably wins the first game and gets to the first weekend.

LSU very athletic. Short bench. Lack size. Does not shoot three pointer very well.

Yes the SEC is down. But so is the ACC and Big Ten. A little more parity in College basketball.

Whatever. 8 conference games to go. Important game against Kentucky. Tough road game at Florida. IMO 7 and 1 wins the SEC. 6 and 2 ties. Those goals are within reach.

They have the best team is league if they would play smarter.

This team is certainly above average, but I think the lack of depth due to injuries and departures is starting to be felt.

"average at best" is one of those cliches that indicate a sub-standard author (rivaled only by, "mediocre at best"). It amazes me that more posters don't see how that phrase is so over-used as to have lost all meaning at this point. AT BEST, this team could make a deep tourney run. AT WORST, they could not get invited to the NCAAs.

Your thread is NOT average at best, because even at best, it is a steaming pile of shite.

What bracket are you reading? Palm has Liberty and Utah State in with Texas just on the other side of the bubble in his bracket updated today.

Basketball is a game of streaks. Auburn shot lights out from 3 point land from the last couple min of regulation and the entire overtime. Most if not all were heavily contested. We got down by I believe 8 or 9 in OT and battled back to take the lead. One costly turnover and a defensive dribble penetration in the lane cost us. I see huge improvement in this team from the beginning of the season. You may be negative, but I enjoy watching this team every week.

You are not an average SEC basketball team winning 8 SEC games in a row and losing in the last second to the team who won the NC in basketball last year.

In my opinion, Will Wade is the problem! He's a great recruiter and knows how to pay the players, but he's not a good game day coach.

You don't go 16-2(Undefeated on the road) in an absolutely loaded SEC with only one second round draft pick if you can't perform well in game.
