I just bought a Dodge after driving 5 Fords for about 600K miles over the last 15 years.
Couldn't say no. Power is stupid, its more comfortable than the Ford (I went from a 15 platinum to a 20 lariat), and the screen is ridiculous. I drive around 40K miles per year and I finally have stopped looking at my phone 100% while I drive.

This happened to me with my 18' GMC SLT 4x4 in November in Dallas. Detective told me that two guys can steal a GM vehicle in under 3 minutes now. I didn't think people could steal a brand new Truck!

Insurance took forever to pay out after the negotiations, holidays, and every change that's made took 3-4 days to process. It was complete BS. Finally got my money today. Looking at fords too now.

Yea it’s really easy and much more common than folks think.

Who was your insurance through? I’ve got farmers and so far the process of filing a claim and getting a rental has been easy

Sounds like you want a Tacoma.

I actually went and drove the Tacoma and Tundra. Tacoma is just too small in the back seat. Wish I could make it work bc other than the lack of back seat room, it’s enough truck for me. I’ve got two small kids so getting car seats in there would be tough. My 3 year old was sitting in the back seat of one in the show room and his feet were touching the back of the front seat. I’m 6’2” and I couldn’t even get in without turning my legs sideways

I was pretty unimpressed with the Tundra to be honest. After being in the new Rams and Silverados, it just left a lot to be desired.

Really liked the Ram Laramie and it’s priced much better than the new Silverado LTZ.

Recently purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra SLT. Downsized from 2017 F259. Love the ride, comfort and way the truck drives. I have the Premium plus package that has all the features you looking for. Also have the 10 speed Allison tranny. Mine stickers for 58K and paid 45K plus TTL.

As many as the insurance is willing to pay for.

ETA: buddy just bought a Denali at Royal in on airline.

52 for truck... But they reamed him on his trade. Under 40 for a platinum 3.5 eco with under 15k miles.

Man I never felt unsafe in houston but the petty crimes were incredible. It didn’t matter how nice your neighborhood was people would get their cars broken into. About two months after I moved there I came out to my truck on blocks. It really sucks.

Have to wait 10 days before the insurance will pay

That seems quick but it's probably in Mexico now, or parts.

left my truck on blocks in the same driveway

Years back when I lived in apartments in DFW I witnessed this 7-8 times, I'd be driving to work and see some dudes truck/jeep on blocks. That's a sorry move.

I consider myself luck to only have had my tailgate stolen in 10 years. When you drive a fleet looking 09 f150 with stock wheels it helps I guess.

Geico,
Everything was great until it came down to paying out. Filing the claim and rental was easy. Burned out my rental max waiting on the payout.

Did you leave the keys in the truck?

I asked the same question which went unanswered. my guess is FOB left in the center console and locked via keypad.

No the keys were not in it. That truck didn’t have keyless entry or push start. Doesn’t have keypad or anything like that on the door. Old school, must have key in ignition to start. Still have both sets of keys so they hot wired it somehow
