Well if true, verlander is too good to be that nervous over tipping pitches at this point in his career. That’s bush league of him to crack like that

Game number 180 is tonight. It all comes down to 9 innings. Hopefully Game 7 will not have the horseshite that Game 6 had and will be remembered for the play on the field and not the other peripheral crap.
Each team has won 3 games, fair and square. The Nationals may or may not have been fricked over last night. It is all irrelevant now. They won the game and now here we are.
The Astros MUST go back to their Game 1 game plan vs. Scherzer. He only lasted 5 innings due to the high pitch count that the Astros ran up on him. If the attitude they took vs. Strasburg last night gets replayed tonight, then chalk up a loss.
I am not so sure Cole has thrown his last pitch as an Astro. I would not be shocked to see him for 20 pitches tonight.
I am sure Osuna is available for 2 innings if needed. I think the Astros have enough pitching to get this done. The bats need to get their heads out of their asses one last time.
I am not sure how I feel going into this. You would think scoring in the 1st inning is a good thing....but if the Astros get 2 runs in the 1st inning tonight, I am probably going to turn the channel and watch Law and Order reruns.
The Astros are the better team. Tonight is their chance to prove it.

JV was super paranoid about tipping his pitches all night. He would go into the dugout frustrated saying the Nats were whistling on some of his pitches and every time he heard them whistle he threw a ball because he thought they knew what was coming so he didn't want to give them anything to hit.
Not a good look

Well look,
they made it all the way here so they might as well win the damn thing

These threads are a lot more fun without all the rando casuals who show up just to shite on the Astros. #buildthewall

In what way? I think after we didn’t score with 2nd and 3rd with 1 out with Altuve up it knocked the wind out of the team.

agreed, today would be his normal throw day anyway. You've just gotta hope Greinke gives you 4-5 solid innings and you get to osuna with Urquidy, Harris, Cole, Pressley, or whoever else you need. Other than JV it's all hands on deck tonight.

Yep. Got Greinke for a reason. Lets go out and light up Scherzer.

Yeah, that AB sucked. Massively.
Need good Altuve to show up tonight.

The Astros are setup in a pretty good spot pitching wise, maybe not as good as the Nats but I like the guys they’ve got available.
It’s going to come down to the offense. Plain and simple. They’ve been touted as the greatest offense team of all time and have talked a lot of shite and played with swagger when things go their way. They’ve got to respond one last time back against the wall. I like our 1-9 infinitely better than their 1-9 as a whole it’s just one last time to prove it. They need to have some semblance of an approach against an elite arm who is battling some pain, get him out of there as soon as they can.
Not sure how it plays out, but at some point they are going to have to get a big hit with runners on that’s not a homerun, and they haven’t shown the ability to do that much this postseason.
ETA: need to keep Turner and Eaton off the bases. No one on for Soto and Rendon don’t allow them to do big time damage

The way I see it, everyone but JV is available.
I expect to see Greinke, Urquidy, and maybe even Cole if the situation calls for it. This would normally be his day to throw a side session, right?
Ideally Greinke is on and goes 6 strong shortening the game for the better chunk of the bullpen to take over. I like having options in the middle though.

Correa needs to get his head out of his arse. Even Cheerio and Reddick are being productive at the bottom of th lineup... Yed's turned it around...yet there he is "bridging" the gap between the top and bottom of the lineup by striking out every at bat on awful 0-2 pitches in the dirt.
