Grrrl, If you would like to learn a little history about that Moscow Radisson read the article linked below. Also google “Paul Tatum Umar Dzhabrailov Chechen Mafia Radisson Moscow.”

Moscow was the wild, wild West back when I first started working there.

Can’t wait to learn more about this later today! Thanks for the info. BTW, it was you who initially told us about the Radisson mafia when I was booking our trips.

I wasn’t sure we could also successfully navigate the additional emotional and cultural challenges that come with parenting an interracial child

Based on your posts here, I think you would be fine. You seem plenty mature and kind hearted enough to have navigated that.

Our church really really pushes adoption. I know dozens of people with adopted kids from all over the world. One of my son’s best friends is from Ethiopia, my other son regularly hangs out with a brother and sister adopted from Rwanda and Kenya, one of our family friends just adopted a 10 year old from Ukraine, and a host of others. Also, there are several interracial adoptions and they are all fine. Don’t let the most racist amongst us tell you it’s an issue.

That’s not meant to scold or anything, I have a ton of respect for adopters and based on your posts, you would have done great.

We toyed with it and almost got placed with a sibling set of 3. It didn’t work out and we ended up not doing it but I’m still open for it n

Sounds like a familiar problem in my house......soon you will be accused of over reacting and not knowing ANYTHING. Mine made the mistake of telling his mother that the other night.......BIG mistake. Soon you will find that there is nothing to eat in the house despite having a full pantry and freezer.

I set up weekly delivery for Costco last week. Amazed I was able to do that being that I am so ignorant about everything.

There’s a lot of uncertainty in domestic adoptions.
