I would halt all the flood season ending. Enforce the laws on the books and if caught doing something illegal when flood is happening triple fines or allow death penalty.

Won't be long the LaBranche wetlands next to Bonnet Carrie spillway is going to be covered up with salvania. Crap sucks

Fair enough, but love it or hate it listening for random shots at night is about the only tool law enforcement has to effectively detect spotlighting. You’re free to disagree with the law but it makes plenty of sense as to why it is one.

Move duck season back 1 month, but it'll never happen and I know that.

You can shoot ducks in the evening until 15 min before dark.

Guides can no longer keep their limits fish or game.

12 trout/day same size restrictions.

fishing

crabs
go back to an actual size limit

red snapper
no minimum size limit but have to keep each one you catch (throwbacks are shark food anyways, may as well keep them to eat)

agreed ^^^^^

plus add these

redfish size limit reduced to 14" and no max size limit creel raised to 10 per day trip

black drum size limit reduced to 14" and no max size limit creel raised to 10 per day trip

specks should be 25 creel limit state wide

========================================================

the only reasons used for reducing the creel for big lake was to create more trophy fish but it did nothing to increase size of fish there as it was intended to, and in fact made the fish size smaller from over populations that reduced the available food supply

the reasons (backed by scientific facts) for increasing the creel and reducing size on reds and drum is they are decimation crabs and oyster populations (their man food sources) because they are way over populated and more of these fish need to be removed from the water to create a healthier fish population that doesnt harm other resources

15 trout/day no size limit. Too many 11.5 inch fish caught and thrown back to become crab food. Catch your 15 and go find reds/flounder/drum etc. There is certainly less trout in the water than in years past. I am 51 and the amount of trout around is a shadow of its former self. I suspect it is loss of our coast coupled with unprecedented fishing pressure.

Make bowfishing illegal

why?

because its like canned hunts

plus anything you shoot is hard to have any chance of surviving if undersized and released

lastly it is literally like shooting fish in a barrel

all that said im ok if you want to do it for garfish but not for flounders or game fish like reds or drum

Ya'll some rules and regulation adding mother frickers The laws aren't gonna affect the outlaws (they are gonna break them regardless), hunting and fishing numbers are already on the decline, not sure why we need even more laws and regulations added.

ETA: As far as #s on the decline, I don't know, I hear that all the time, I've read an article in a magazine about it once, I have no idea if that's true or not regarding Louisiana. But you'd think the type of people that most hunters are who in everyday life would prefer less rules rules rules laws laws laws added, would be against regulating the hell out of an activity like hunting.

In theory that is a good idea but would actually cause more harm than good and would be detrimental to the already declining Turkey and deer populations in there. Intensive trapping is the only answer and is proven to work but it would require a dedicated and funded program.

Make bass fishing catch-and-release only during February and March (spawning period).
