what would it be

turkeys
would like to see more walk in only areas

Jakes can only be killed by youth

no afternoon hunting

ducks
no mudmotors on WMAs north of I10

deers
either sex can be killed by youth at any time on WMAs

fishing

crabs
go back to an actual size limit

red snapper
no minimum size limit but have to keep each one you catch (throwbacks are shark food anyways, may as well keep them to eat)

I’d wait till all the trophy hunters got their way on what size bucks could be killed, then take it away and go back to how it is now.

I wouldn’t mind banning bait to anyone under 65

mature bucks have more meat on them and if fewer folks were killing baby/immature deer in Louisiana you would have more opportunity for heavier deer.

Option to receive 25 duck tags instead of daily limits. Let me shoot them all in one hunt or two get the barrel hot An be done for the season.

Make primitive weapons actually primitive again. No more high powered cartridge (35 whelen) and no optics. Open/ Iron sights only.

No crossbows during bow season except for the handicapped or over 65.

Eliminate the limit on shrimp taken in a refuge during season.

Lower the deer tags from 6 to 2 or 3. Maybe you get two tags, a buck and a doe tag, then once those two are validated you get issued an either sex tag.

You want to know why the midwest and other states have huge, plentiful bucks? It ain't because they have 3 month long either sex rifle seasons where they can take 6 deer.

Downvote away but very few people (families) NEED 6 deer. Or 12 if you count a child or the wife etc.

Are you suggesting the meat of a 4.5yo buck at the height of rut, tastes the same as a 9-10 month old yearling and its because I'm cleaning one of them wrong?

You saying mature as in age or antler size? B/c I brought in a 4pt last year that had plenty of meat and when laid right next to a 7pt was actually the same exact size. Most people's argument for it is antler size not age but I see both. That's why it's good to have hunting leases, to make your own rules. I don't wanna be told I have to pass on a deer b/c someone wants a bigger buck on the wall.

I don't mind max #s of deer regulations, I don't want the population being wiped out b/c towns of people are going out and killing a every deer they see, everyday. I just don't like too many regulations otherwise regarding hunting, but not gonna argue most of them. I'm mostly a public land hunter who doesn't get the opportunity to hunt much, I"m gonna take my deer when I can get them. If a 4pt walks out before a doe, he's going down, I don't care if someone else saw him as a wall hanger in 2 years.
