That looks like it’d taste pretty good, and to be fair she does call it a “Tennessee Jambalaya”, but my lord!!
That’s like putting ketchup and and butter between two slices of bread and calling it a pb&j.

Looks like someone cooked bacon and sausage in ketchup and placed it over wild rice.

WTF was that? Not sure, but I know it's not jambalaya. Black beans???
Cut the bacon slices in half so they cook faster???
Italian seasoning???
Onion powder??
No trinity, no garlic, just some type sauce over rice.

How does the food network consistently fail at cooking food? It's like the network is run by a broke college student who tried to cook for the first time.
"I've seen jambalaya before. I can do that.
1 cup rice = check
wet sausage = check
something that looks like bacon = check
vegetables = check
Directions:
Mix rice and vegetables together in serving bowl. Pour ketchup over sausage and bacon. Voila! Jambalaya

So here's a breakdown of the video.
Wild Rice
Bacon as a garnish
Kielbasa sausage
Bay Leaf
Carrots
black beans
tomato sauce
Green chile's
italian seasoning
I don't even know what to say...

Well, they could start by going to back to having actual chef's showing you how to cook dishes instead of washed up 90's country music singers. When you turn on that channel these days there's a 90% chance you'll some lame contest with average cooks doing stupid shite with kale and watermelon. Right now the entire day's programming is episode after episode of Beat Bobb Flay and Chopped.

Makes me second guess even some of the well known chefs across the networks when they make local cuisine.
They constantly butcher LA food. Who is to say they aren't butchering every other 'local' dish they're showing us

I got a kick out of how she held the sausage for slicing. She used 2 fingers and had her pinkie out like she was at high tea or something. The girl's not a cook.

Not only that, but she was holding it on the wrong side of the knife. She was holding the small slices as she cut them off instead of holding the brunt of the sausage and cutting free the smaller pieces. Perfect way to nick a few fingers.

Yep. Your jambalays needs the following dishes:
1 Cutting board (2 if you're worried about stupid stuff like bacteria )
1 Knife
1 Pot
1 Spoon
She had:
2 cutting boards
Multiple knives
2 pots
Grater
tongs
Multiple spoons
can opener
Multiple measuring cups

Wait? are you saying that you aren't supposed to risk chopping off a finger with every single slice of the knife?

Between the black beans, carrots, keilbasa sausage and the way she cut it, WTF is this.
Then she barely put any hot sauce in with the cup of rice and wouldn't shut up about how she put SO MUCH in there.
