Is this the worst way a recruit can announce LSU has offered him?

4-star DE Princely Umanmielen from Manor HS (TX)

We are the dreaded ‘dream school’. Kid is a monster though. Would definitely take him if he wants in.

Lol It can’t be long until a recruit does this to some school.

Guys like this kid, Vernon Broughton, a couple of the GA and NC kids, with natural SDE size and athleticism to go with it are the types id like to see us land as DEs. I get the natural DTs fit the system as well but many times those body types lack some of the natural bend, athleticism and explosion that the DE body types have.
I know most are tired of the Bama standard being used but it applies in this instance. 4-5 years ago they went through a fundamental change in the body types they honed in on as DEs to bring more athleticism and playmaking to their 4 man rush. Guys like Jonathan Allen, Buggs, and Labryan Ray and the 19 class Egiboie and Alfano. I get that the Saban and Aranda schemes have differences and perhaps Aranda prefers the natural DT types. Watching our lack of pressure from the DL just irritates me and imo its because our DEs are natural DTs that dont have that type of explosion. Still good players that play the run well and occupy blockers but just not strong pass rushers. Hate having to rely purely on blitzes to pressure the qb.

If you’ll notice he said “childhood”

Alec Bryant is about to recruit the hell out of him and Xavion Alford.

He could get an Auburn tatoo and then end up signing with Bama. Believe Ruben Foster did that.

We got no chance at landing him ... Chavis on him like white on rice.
Wait ... I thought Fat John didn't recruit.

Well, he didn't say:
"I've decided to take my talents to"
or
"the University of LSU"
and he used #GeauxTigers. I'm fine with it.

Yes, but Chaisson isn't a blitzer. So, let's see what this season looks like with him. And Lawrence got a lot better towards the end of the season. If teams double or chip on Chiasson, then Lawrence is gonna get to the QB. I think we'll have a much, much better pass rush this year when rushing just four.

In a four deep you want the ends about 6’2-6’6 280 and DTs about 315
In a 3 man line u want the DT about 330 and ends about 300-310 the OLBs about 6’4 265

We're due for one of these high profile "dream school" kids to actually commit and sign to LSU.

Agree about the size as the end result. However, a kid like this one, for instance, isn't already 300-310 with plus athleticism. He's got the athleticism and will gain the bulk as it naturally fits him. Sure there are 310 lb kids out their that can bend and explode in the pass rush but not that many considering the amount of schools looking for them.
I used Jonathan Allen as an example and he's the ideal one. This a kid that was playing standing up in HS at 255-260 and even was initially recruited as a Jack. Got to Bama bulked up to 300-305 and turned into the exact type of player I'm talking about. Just better flexibility and natural athleticism than traditional DT body types.
Agree about Chiasson and the impact he could have on this problem. Think Shelvin could impact this as well if he can man the Nose allowing Feihoko to play DE. As Lawrence, love the guy but unless he plays better than he ever has I don't see it. The way he played in the bowl was impressive but that's an outlier in terms of the rest of the season save a few flashes. The UCF line doesn't exactly meet the standards of the ones he faces in the biggest games that will determine our season.

Great news. If every 4 star in the county said this we would be fixed for years.

I want to see him have a bama hat and then throw it on the ground and stomp on it and tell Saban to eat shite.

He is an OU and Texas lean.
Has been for awhile.
Visited Texas this weekend and Jimbo sent his Nigerian OL recruits to get him but he passed.
Texas has an in on African players because their parents usually value academics.

All teams want big fast athletic DE's there just isnt a whole lot of them. It not some great insight that Bama has that LSU doesnt.
