They are go getters. The purest form of businessmen. Mad respect for them.

If you don't Rodan + Fields, then you aren't really living, baw.

Then that one person gets stuck, so she begins to lie or exaggerate what she’s doing to get her friends into the pyramid so that she doesn’t lose her arse on this. Those friends are also slightly less stupid but they are usually just trusting that their friend wouldn’t be lying to them. And so goes on the cycle
This. An ex-girlfriend of mine was roped into one by a family member. She would go back and forth on it how she wanted the income but complained about how the people higher on the pyramid would complain to her about how she wasn't getting enough customers in the scam.
The worst is how she justified the vitamins they sold which cost about $70 for a month's supply and didn't even take them daily. "Oh I feel better when I take them", yeah that's called a placebo effect, sweetheart.

Y'all baws aren't still swimming in Limu money? That's how I reached 3rd tier OT baller status..

It’s really sad. Especially when you slowly notice their posts get less and less likes. When you look at the comments, you’ll see it’s the same two or three people commenting and low and behold, they too sell the same shite.
The “casual” writing style with all the emojis is so cringeworthy.
Someone at the top is selling the dream and there’s a line of suckers chasing it

My wife does it as side gig to her full time job. She uses the money for extra vacations. She doesn’t pressure or bother people. Roughly 95% of her customers are referrals.

My wife tried that Vita Vie(sc) are what ever it was. Some type of weight loss drink. I told her it was a scam and a $1000 later, lesson learned. I also had neighbor that got pissed at me because I wouldn’t buy/sell scAMWAY

Does she net anything out of it?
Honestly she proved me wrong, I was completely against it. She has about 25-30 women she sells the shampoo to. As far as the people being under her as a “market partner” she doesn’t care for that, she has maybe 3-4 though that asked to do it but she doesn’t push it and has even declined people for it. I think it cost her $300 (one time fee)to get in and she maybe makes $7-800 a month, give or take.

Folks at the top are usually billionaires while those not at the top are like cult followers making the guys at the top rich while they struggle for the scraps.
Reminds me of the Scientology next door to where I once lived where everybody was supposed to be equal. But like Communism and Socialism, some were clearly more equal than the others. The head of that Scientology chapter drove a loaded white Jaguar and the "worker bees" drove stripped down Escorts or Vega's. Have to have cult mentality do not see the imbalances inherent in the system.

Had a friend I grew up with contact me about doing a "presentation for a job" selling "insurance." I don't know if it was part of his sales pitch or not, but he claimed he got his parents and sister to sign up.
Used to see posts from a friend's wife all the time for ItWorks! crap. Made me every time someone would like the posts.

Poke fun at my "side hustle" all you want, but while you're trying to make ends meet me and my husband will be in [insert some awful sounding resort in Cancun or similar]!

I’ve talked about it on here before, but I got roped into a primerica meeting once and it was such a creepy feeling in there very cult like

They got caught up by a scam, so I feel some sympathy. Not enough to not block them but it's there nonetheless.

I think these companies have disclosure reports where you can see just how little the average person makes in a year.
If you are lucky enough to get in early and cement your place at a higher spot on the pyramid, then you'll probably make a little money. But that type of person makes up like .1% of the total population of salespeople in the company.

Top 1% were paid more than $30,185/annually
Top 10% were paid more than $5,272/annually
Top 50% were paid more than $654/annually

There's a MLM company on the northshore and all over SELA. Ion Alkaline water/Stealth Water. Theyre "selling" the purest form of Alkaline water and saying its the mos superior water you can buy... yeah right

Direct sales or MLM folks that are focused on sales - fine by me.

whatever they make is better than nothing.
A lot of them actually lose money. Some lose thousands. There’s a subreddit against it (/r/antiMLM) and there’s been several people post who had been duped into it and show how much money they lost.
Many of the companies, such as the leggings one, require their Huns to pre-purchase all of their stock.. and they are required to order more each month. So if they haven’t sold what they’ve purchased the prior month, they’re just digging deeper and deeper into the hole.
