Had a friend I grew up with contact me about doing a "presentation for a job" selling "insurance." I don't know if it was part of his sales pitch or not, but he claimed he got his parents and sister to sign up.

I have a small insurance agency (not Primerica) and I can tell you a lot of Insurance companies are this way. Their philosophy is hire everyone that walks in the door on a 1099 contract. If they sell something great, if not they didn't cost us anything. Grow the Agency wide. I tried that at first. However, we spent so much time training people that were horrible it was not worth the time or money. The company I contract with does push heavy recruiting. Fortunately my Territory leadership would rather us recruit quality over quantity. I refuse to bring in any warm body with a pulse for B2B sales. I have about 6 quality sales people and we are doing just fine. I feel sending the wrong people in to a business sends the wrong message and makes us look cheap and unprofessional. Having said all that, my top salesman came from Primerica. Those guys are great sales people if you can get them in a quality company and system.

I had somebody approach me about Primerica. I got a free izzos lunch out of it. i immediately knew it was a BS structure (pyramid scheme). Although, the products they sell are actually legit.

it is rare, becuase it still actually requires being a good sales person and working your arse off. most people think they can just sign up for it and get free money

Sorry you can’t get into your garage anymore because of all the unmoved product. No need to drag others into your situation

They’re dumb as hell, but at least they’re selling an actual physical product

Wha really gets me is those MLM people. The ones who always post motivational quotes in front of lavish homes and fancy cars.. all you have to do is inbox them for details and you’re in!! Had a real good friend of mine get wrapped way up into this shite, and he was expecting something like a $20K payout, then the company folded and he never got the money... the worst part of it is that he didn’t learn his lesson and he’s back to looking for a new company to ‘work’ for

I know a guy who got in early on Limu and seems to have done pretty well but he comes off as a phony. You cant talk to him without his going into a sales pitch.

This leggings one LuLaroe - they don't even let you buy the style you want - they just ship you a bunch of random crap and you're stuck with it

The only profit is validation for housewives that have nothing else going on for them.

I have a couple and I ended up blocking them. My GF does have one friend who is doing well off some make up one. We went to her house and it was nice as shite. Her BF was some beta Bernie guy I couldn't stand and didn't have a job so I knew he wasn't paying for the house. Needless to say we haven't been back though. I may have been kind of a dick to her BF...accidently of course.

I did Vector for a month during summer after freshman year of college. frick that shite. One ofmy exes tried during one of the things and ended up losing about $300

I had a friend of mine in college who used to do Primerica. She was pushy as hell, always trying to get me to come to the stupid meetings. She never succeeded. I came up with a new excuse almost every week. The only reason I never told her to frick off was because I wanted her. I never succeeded. Now I look back and wonder if I should have took one for the team in order to get in those panties..

Last I heard she no longer affiliates with Primerica at all. Apparently both her parents do it and are the top top people so they make a pretty decent living, so they forced her into it. She never made any real money even though she tried pursuing it all throughout college. So after graduating she said frick it and got herself a real job.

I think she sells Lularoe cause he got REALLY defensive of it once in another MLM thread. Me and LL talking about how ugly their stuff is and he didn’t like that at all.

I have a friend that does Mary Kay. I've known her 5 or 6 years now and just found this out last summer. No clue if she makes anything off it. She makes plenty at her real job so she doesn't need it.

Mary Kay and Avon are old school though.

I won’t hate on them.

Just don’t prey on my friendship to sell your crap. That’s all I ask. Many of the other MLMs make them do that. Adding you to random groups without your permission, FB messaging you acting like they just want to say hello but really want to invite you to their stupid party to sell stuff, etc.

It depends on the person. Some are obnoxious as all get out. Others are only there to answer questions and are happy just making a little extra money.
