Thought I was, too, till o did the DNA kit. Seems like every family from the south thinks their great grandma was half Cherokee.

Never tried to find out but I know I’m at least as much Native American as Elizabeth Warren. A mosquito could end both of our native blood

1/16th Cherokee.

My great grandmother was half Irish and half Cherokee. She was not a woman to trifle with.

I'm a little more than 20% Chumash -- The entire side of my dads family down through myself, my 3 brothers and sister are all registered and on the tribal scrolls.

My grandmother lived on a reservation in Oklahoma and claimed to be an Indian.

Does that make me more of an Indian than fauxchontas?
