If he gets extended then it just further proves that our administration doesnt care about winning

The only 'logical' explanation should this prove to be accurate is that "LSU" has no interest in winning. None.

I think there is an alternative and plausible explanation. With only 2 years, you think maybe teams will negatively recruit. There are still some talented in-state players that LSU can land. An extension is fine. No to changing the buyout terms. If O can finish off at 10-2 and win a bowl game to finish 11-2, he has done a very good job.

How we lost is bc Oline couldn’t block or protect.
Defense gave us a chance to win.
We didn’t turn ball over and we didn’t have bunch of penalities.
When you get out physiclaed at LOS not much coaches can do.

Amazing how having true tackles and at least one five star on our OL would have made a difference last night. We need Thomas and Green badly for the future!

I wouldn't put it past Alleva to fear USC will fire Helton and come after Orgeron.

And considering USC's hires over the last decade, they might be dumb enough to do it.

There is rumblings from the Trojan faithful regarding this very thing.

If USC will take Special Ed off our hands, then it's a win/win for both schools. I don't have faith in Alleva conducting a legitimate coaching search, so he'll likely follow his usual MO and promote Aranda. Dave can then clean house on the offensive side of the ball and bring in some new blood who actually know something about running a modern offense.

Ott noted today that Coach O will get his contract extension.

This so fricking stupid. As if LSU has to worry about some other program snaking him away from us. Why don't they wait until he's actually done something, like beating Bama, before rewarding him with 3 more years of guaranteed money? Ludicrous.

No way. They better hurry up and extend Ensminger's contract too. The season is growing old, and teams will be lined up to lock down his imaginative scheme. With all of his success at Clemson, A&M, and his outstanding offensive rankings this year, he will be a very hot commodity. Better offer long term at 2 million per year, or else. He knows his "foobaw" and Orgeron did promise the best coordinator in the nation.

Coach O has a good chance to finish at 9-2. If LSU fires him with that record, who in his right mind would come here? Get real, not happening, one way or another.

Special Ed even went on record as saying that Ensminger is the best OC around. Our offense was ranked around 87 before the Bama game, and I imagine that it took a hit after being shut out. That's the work of the best OC in the nation? It makes Orgeron sound like a fool.

Edit: We're now ranked 104th in total offense.

Coach O has a 50% chance or less to finish 9-2, Aggies won’t be an easy out. Arkansas scored 30 on Alabama
