Do I need to keep going, or do realize your mistake? It's the black people (read: blue areas) in those "southern red states" that take all the government handouts.

So what are your approaches to remedying that problem - nobody disagrees.

There was a time we had Charity Hospitals that served the needs of poverty stricken patients.

We have always had Emergency Care where no questions are asked = you get treated for exigent problems.

You need to specify what you really want here.

The problem with making it "free" for everyone is that the quality goes down to an unacceptable level. This is an irrefutable fact that cannot be repealed by 'feels good' intentions.

Details are important here - and as long as the DEMOCRATs define any proscription of reasonable limits as "They want you to DIE!!!" there can be no progress made. GOP has been willing to establish reasonable health care initiatives for over a decade - DEMs want no part of any COMPROMISE on the topic. And real progress toward a SOLUTION to the 'health care problem' would deprive them of their ONLY issue that has any footing whatsoever.

As long as the DEM position is nothing more than platitudes - then they are not offering a real solution to the issue.

And the problem here is honesty. DEMs do not want 'common sense gun laws' their undeniable goal is the removal of the 2nd amendment, either by repeal or limitation into non-existence.

If we have learned anything at all in the past 30 years it is that you cannot 'compromise' when all you get out of the deal is a PROMISE to not cut your throat in the future. Because as soon as that compromise is put into effect, the knives are at your throat again for the NEXT 'compromise.'

The ONLY thing that will work is a complete sea-change in the makeup of the DEMOCRAT party.
